Gus Crocco is the owner and founder of Treatment Solutions of South Florida. He has over 25 years of direct clinical experience in the substance abuse and mental health fields. Gus has worked with such diverse populations as prisoners in department of corrections, adolescents, school social work and various psychiatric facilities. He also worked as an adjunct professor teaching group therapy to college students. He has extensive training in Jungian Psychology, rational emotive, behavioral modification and Gestault therapies. He is well versed with experiential therapy, drama therapy and performs family sculpting and role reintegration with recovering families. A number of Gus's specializations include: obsessive compulsive disorders, eating disorders, acute and general anxiety disorders, bipolar and clinical depressions.
Gus is one of the few executive directors who utilize his clinical expertise by providing hands-on clinical services to clients. One of his essential beliefs is that the disease of addiction can only begin to heal when ego-modifying therapy supersedes ego-supportive therapy. When this occurs, clients begin to internalize a recovering identity and accept addiction as a true medical condition. To achieve continued success in recovery one must believe there is no choice.
Treatment Solutions of South Florida was founded on the concept of providing a full continuum of care. We pride ourselves on having achieved our goal of becoming one of the few accredited care facilities that determines their client's discharge date based upon clinical assessment rather than financial resources. Our goals extend beyond the client's enrollment in our program as we continue to provide support and encouragement well beyond discharge.
